Heather Carter, AKA The Green Guru, is a sculptor and mom living in Wimberley, Texas. She founded greenguru.org to raise awareness about alternative energy and other green issues. She lives off-the-grid with her husband Marc and son, Aidan Raine. Their home is powered by solar energy and has a rainwater collection system. It seems that the more they learn about sustainability the more they feel the need to share their experiences and wisdom with others. It has become a quest for them both to support businesses who carefully consider the effect their product has on the earth and how it contributes to a sustainable planet, both economically and ecologically. As a result, Marc and Heather have chosen to support bio-fuels as well and both drive diesel vehicles that run on B99. You may notice her driving around Wimberley in her yellow ‘81 Mercedes, affectionately referred to as the ‘Banana Boat’. In addition to her interest in sustainability, she is a wood sculptor.
